Jan 30th 2010 Daily Poem

Ocean
we’ve battled waves
waltzed with wind
been blizzard baked
soaked sunshine
capered currents
rode rain
frisked fog
danced doldrums
Here is where we are free
in Ocean’s embrace
is our home
woe to you
who misuse it
do not abuse
or she’ll send you to the deep

Happy New Year 2010

Happy New Year Everyone!
I hope that you all had a good new year. A new year, a new start? maybe or will it be a continuation of the previous years work, plans and dreams? It lays in our hands how we will go about the opportunities that come our way. The important thing is to allow ourselves to grow in new directions and to explore the possibilities that are available to us. Too often we deny ourselves things because we are shackled by our fears of uncertainity and incompleteness. We need to ask ourselves this, does this fear come from a sense of being called foolish by others for making an attempt that may or may not succeed. Is it better to spend your time later burdened by regret because you did not attempt it? or to hear nay sayers heckling you for not making it. If you do not try; you will never know. If all the world's inventors listened to nay sayers where would we be today? Think about it
